AYSO Core Program

AYSO's core program is the foundation for all the fun, excitement and learning that happens on the fields. AYSO is best known for our core program – it’s where the large majority of kids fall in love with soccer and make memories that will last a lifetime.

There are six core values – or what we call AYSO’s Six Philosophies – that are the foundation of our core program, and all others: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development. These are the essence of AYSO and it all starts with Everyone Plays.

Here in AYSO, Everyone Plays means that no kid spends their soccer experience sitting on the bench. Every kid plays at least half of every game. Learn more about AYSO’s Six Philosophies.

Also, teams are put together in a way that makes playing soccer about the experience, not wins or losses. It’s not about blowing out another team with an unbelievable score; it’s about sportsmanship and learning to be the best possible team mate and opponent. Developing players is what we’re about, because soccer skills and life skills go hand in hand. AYSO’s main purpose is to get kids on the field, provide them with good coaches, and teach them to play soccer.

AYSO 459 Core - Age-Divisions

The 6U and 19U divisions are co-ed. All other age divisions (8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U) are divided into two groups (boys and girls). Team sizes may vary when teams are formed depending on player headcount and availability of coaches. Starting in 2017, players are grouped into divisions according to their birth year. Divisions have different numbers of players on a team and different numbers of players on the field during a game.

2023 FALL & 2024 SPRING REGISTRATION INFORMATION

2024 FALL & 2025 SPRING SEASON

AYSO Region 459 soccer registration includes 2024 FALL & 2025 SPRING. Prior to the spring season, we find a few players have to drop due to various reasons, and we open registration to Fill In The Spots (FITS) that become vacant.

If enough players, and coaches, sign up for an age division, we may create new teams. If you are interested in coaching, please contact our Coach Administrators.

We are also looking for volunteer Referees. Please contact our Referee Administrators for more details.

Early Bird Registration ($20 Discount) closes May 31,2024 for the Core Program.
Registration closes July 30, 2024 for the Core Program so that we can determine game schedules, conduct player evaluations (Balance Teams), order player and volunteer equipment, and finish onboarding all of our wonderful volunteers.
We may extend or re-open registration if we have open slots on teams.

Fall Season is expected to start September 3, 2024.

Game Schedule
Weekday games in the Fall Season start at 6PM.
Weekday games in the Spring Season start at 6:30PM.

After Fall Registration closes, a lot of effort and multiple iterations go into the upcoming schedule. For instance, we will look at field availability, coaches with multiple teams in different age divisions, and families with multiple children playing in different age divisions. We do our best to avoid as many conflicts as possible.

CORE 2024 FALL & 2025 SPRING SEASONS

You are registering your child for the Core Program of AYSO Region 459 Soccer for the 2024 fall and 2025 spring seasons.

If the age division is showing a "WAIT LIST ONLY", this is because we are in need of volunteer coaches. There is no fee or obligation when being wait listed. If you are interested in volunteering to coach, please contact our Coach Administrators.

We are also looking for volunteer Referees and Team Parents. Please contact our Referee Administrators or Team Parent Coordinator for more details.

Registration closes July 30, 2024 for the Core Program 06U-19U. We may extend or re-open registration if we have open slots on teams.

Also available to you is AYSO Region 459 EPIC Program which is for players with special needs, as well as AYSO Playground for your 3 or 4 year old.

The price includes the player uniform (jersey, short, and socks), approximately 10 games in the fall, approximately 10 games in the spring, and program operational costs.

The price below does NOT include the AYSO Membership Fee ($25.00) or the Sports Connect transaction fee ($2.75)*. These fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. AYSO Membership is required for each Membership Year (8/1 - 7/31) before a member may participate in any AYSO program or event. This fee entitles the member to all benefits for that membership year.
